The OTA Double Opt-In (DOI) platform is a specialized fraud prevention and revenue assurance solution designed for MTN Nigeria (MTNN). Its primary function is to eliminate "incomplete" service activations and protect subscribers from unwanted Value-Added Service (VAS) subscriptions.

By implementing a secure, user-interactive confirmation layer directly on the SIM card, the solution ensures that every subscription is explicitly authorized by the user, thereby meeting NCC (Nigerian Communications Commission) compliance standards and reducing revenue leakage. This initiative is being executed as a Proof of Concept (POC) to validate technical feasibility and commercial viability before full-scale rollout.
